With proper care, your purchases from Quality Window Coverings can last for years. Here are some tips to keep them in that “just hung” condition:
Hands down, our number one product are our California Shutters. We carry a few different brands but our top selling (and best value) is the Eclipse Shutter by Shade-o- Matic.
Most manufacturers will suggest a similar cleaning procedure where you just use water. In most cases, water on a soft cloth will remove dust and dirt that collects over time. Any harsh chemicals can ruin the finish of the blinds over time so we suggest staying away from those.
We also have a Vinyl shutter cleaner for those situations where water alone will not do the job! We use this cleaner in the showroom to remove any dust and stains that build up on our displays.
There are some non-abrasive detergents that will also do the job, but you have to be careful when it comes to the ingredients. Anything with citrus or acids of any kind can damage the composition of the vinyl.
